The Recreation Association of the Public Service of Canada, or the RA Centre as it is more commonly referred to, is the largest private recreation and leisure facility in the Country. The RA offers an extensive range of sports, recreation, fitness and leisure for individuals of all ages. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and operated by a highly qualified staff and hundreds of volunteers, the RA is recognized as Canada’s finest fitness and lifestyle centre.
There are, in fact, over fifty activities available to members. In addition to the recreation segment of the operation the RA owns and operates a food and beverage division which operates a full service restaurant, a dining room and a range of conference rooms for catering to meetings, weddings and banquets.
The RA also operates nine worksite fitness and wellness facilities throughout the Capital Region under the banner LifeFIT Canada.
The latest addition to the RA’s sport and recreation family is the Rideau Tennis Club. The Rideau offers nineteen tennis courts, eleven of which are clay courts. In the winter eight of the courts are active under indoor air domes. In the summer, members can relax after a game with a leisurely swim in the outdoor pool and enjoy food and beverages at the clubhouse.

Fondée en 1996, la Société des arts technologiques [SAT] est un organisme à but non lucratif reconnu internationalement pour son rôle actif et précurseur dans le développement de technologies immersives, de la réalité augmentée et l’utilisation créative des réseaux à très haut débit. Avec sa double mission de centre d’artistes et de centre de recherche, la SAT a été créée pour soutenir une nouvelle génération de créateurs/chercheurs à l’ère du numérique.
Installée sur le boulevard Saint-Laurent à Montréal, à la porte sud du Quartier des spectacles, la SAT est devenue un espace de rendez-vous incontournables et un lieu de tous les possibles, où la « contamination positive », reliant les secteurs artistiques, scientifiques et technologiques, fait de la SAT un partenaire d’innovation à la croisée de ces trois grands piliers économiques.
À la fois moteur et vitrine des tendances en informatique appliquées aux arts et au design, la SAT est un important révélateur de leur portée sociale et économique.
