This past thursday we gathered up for a well deserved birthday lunch at our favourite little bistro in Hudson, about 50min from the city. A relatively wealthy town, Hudson is known for its large, turn-of-the century houses, many of which border the Lake of Two Mountains. Many residents include professionals, artists and artisans, corporate executives, and a wide variety of entrepreneurs. Carambola, located in the heart of Hudson is a perfect fit for this lovely community. At Carambola two things are of equal importance, quality food and a creative atmosphere. The blending of these principles combined with European techniques and International cuisine create a dining experience unlike any other. Since 2002, Carambola’s passion and experience for fresh and local food is incomparable. Composed of ingredients such as filet mignon, duck, rack of lamb as well as fish and seafood brought in daily. The possibilities are endless and there are no rules. Do not forget to bring your favorite wine when you decide to discover what your senses have been missing, yes it’s BYOB. Continue Reading
Last wednesday night our good friend Keven Dextradeur invited us to his creation named: La Tournée Mixo-gastronomique. The event was held at Dolcetto & Co, in the heart of Montreal’s old port, not to mention a beauty of a restaurant. Now, you’re probably asking yourself what is TMG? TMG is a unique concept designed and engineered by Keven. The usual pairing of alcoholic beverages with a menu established by a restaurant’s chef is reversed during TMG night. The alcoholic beverages are created by a Mixologist named Lawrence, the chef of the chosen establishment then creates a food menu according to these drinks. Every month, there are new drinks and a new restaurant to discover. For the third edition of TMG, we were seated right in front of the action the whole night, where he had the chance to discuss Lawrence’s passion for the art of bartending and his thought process while mixing each drink. I mean when the bartender is mixing with a gold strainer, spoon and jigger I feel i’m at the right place. Continue Reading
This past Friday night we had the pleasure of dinning in the now re-opened Yuukai Sushi Restaurant located on Parc Avenue corner St-Viateur.

Our dear friend Keven Dextradeur hosted his birthday just one week after the launch of his new Wednesday night entitled “He loves Wednesdays” at La Fontana. The concept is great and the prices are affordable; $20CAD/person for drinks and the table d’hôte is on the house. This happens every Wednesday at La Fontana Gelati Bar & Grill in Brossard (Quartier-Dix30).
