Sharon Azrieli Perez
Voice of the People - Flowers of the Oasis
This newest recital solo will feature Sephardic love songs and a selection of Arias from French Jewish Composers of the 19th century as well as Verdi. It will also be a world premiere of Israeli songs that were arranged by famous composers who survived the 2nd world war, such as Paul Dessau, Arthur Honegger, Aaron Copeland and Kurt Weill.
"This recital is a blend of styles and eras with a common thread of Jewish composers. At the end I manage to sneak in Verdi’s "Jewish" opera Nabucco simply because he is my favourite."
